Shiekh Muszaphar Shukor is the first Malaysian astronaut to travel into space. Under an agreement with Russia under the Angkasawan program, he launched to the International Space Station aboard Soyuz TMA with the Expedition 16 crew on 10 Oct He returned to Earth eleven days later aboard Soyuz TMA with the Expedition 15 crew members, 21 Sep
